LOCATION
The nearest airport is Jolly Grant airport in Dehradun, approximately 22 km away from the hostel. You can take a cab or a bus from the airport to reach Rishikesh.
The nearest railway station is Yog Nagari Rishikesh railway station (approximately 6.7 km away), but Haridwar railway station (approximately 30 km away) has more train options. Cabs and autos are easily available outside both stations to reach the hostel.
The closest bus station is Rishikesh ISBT (approximately 5 km away), from where you can take a cab or rickshaw to the hostel, reaching in about 20 mins.
If you're cruising in by boat, landing at Laxman Jhula from the Tapovan side will set you back a cool 50 Rs. But fear not! The hostel is just a hop, skip, and a jump right in front of you.

The Hosteller's Myngl Cafe serves vegetarian options. To maintain the backpacking culture and community spirit we promote self service in all our cafes.
From Nepali farm, grab an auto to Janki setu for ₹70 (day) or ₹120 (night), or a cab to the property for ₹1000-1500.
Cabs are pricier due to route restrictions and one-way roads near Laxman Jhula, with parking near the police station. Taxi unions also limit cab access.
Parking is not available at our property however, paid parking is available just 150 meters from the property.

No, we do not feature a projector setup. Instead, we have a large LCD TV in our common area for guest entertainment and community screenings.

Yes, we love furry friends! However, to ensure the comfort, safety, and hygiene of all our Travellers, pets are permitted in Private Rooms only. Pets are strictly not allowed inside shared dormitories under any circumstances.
Is smoking allowed inside the property?
Smoking is allowed only in the designated smoking areas and not in any rooms or indoor common areas.
Is an alcohol policy in place?
Yes. The consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited across the hostel premises wherein we don't serve the liquor. Any violation will result in 2000/- rupees fine or immediate eviction without a refund and permanent blacklisting from all our properties. For all those properties where we serve liquor, its consumption is allowed only in the designated areas.
POLICIES
The Hosteller is a chain of backpacker hostels and is well suited for young backpacking travellers. In line with our brand positioning and community-living model, we do not recommend families and do not permit guests below the age of 18 years. Admission of minors, including infants and children under 18 years of age, is not allowed even when accompanied by legal guardians.
Outside food is strictly prohibited inside the hostel.
Possession, consumption, or distribution of illegal drugs and narcotic substances is strictly prohibited across all properties. Alcohol consumption is prohibited, while smoking is permitted only in designated smoking areas within the premises. Violation of any of the above policies may attract a penalty of ₹2,000 per incident, and repeated violations, misconduct, or non-compliance may result in immediate termination of stay without any refund.
For non-refundable reservations, modification requests (not cancellations) may be considered only if received within 60 minutes of the original booking time and are subject to availability and fare difference, if any. Requests made after this timeframe shall not be accepted.
In case anyone is traveling in a group of 2+ more people, we do not guarantee the accommodation arrangement for all the guests in the same dorm room. Allocation of rooms happens in an automated manner subject to availability at the time, varied floor arrangements, etc.
Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and at the discretion of the management and may attract additional charges.
All guests are mandatorily required to do a pre-arrival contactless check-in via the Glu app (link of which is shared with each guest immediately post booking via Whatsapp). Additionally, it is mandatory for every guest to present a GoI (Government of India) approved photo ID at the time of check-in (valid IDs being passport, aadhar, driving license or a voter ID). For foreigners, it is mandatory to present their passport and a valid visa (in originals) during the time of check-in. All Pakistani guests staying at any of our hostels must carry and present an additional residence permit letter from the Indian High Commission in Islamabad along with the passport and valid visa at the time of their check-in. PAN card or a student id card, etc. shall not be accepted as valid ID cards.
100% prepayment is mandatory at our hostels on or prior to check-in to ensure guaranteed booking.
In case the guest wants to meet the visitor, they can do so in our waiting area or common spaces. Note, visitors are not allowed inside any of the rooms, at any time.
Any form of misconduct including harassment, abuse, intimidation, vandalism, theft, trespassing, or behaviour disruptive to the safety or comfort of other guests, fellow travellers, whether male or female, will result in immediate termination of stay. In such cases, the guest shall be asked to vacate the premises immediately without refund for the unused portion of the stay.
Only female guests are permitted to check into the female dorm. If a male guest books this room type, check-in will be denied as per policy. Modifications to the booking are allowed only within 60 minutes of reservation. No refund will be issued if the booking falls outside the cancellation policy period.
The Hosteller Rishikesh, Laxman Jhula is pet friendly. We permit pets only for private room guests and not dorm bookers. Pets are strictly not allowed in the dorms. Any damages, in case, incurred during the stay shall be attributable to the pet owners.
The Hosteller reserves the right to admission based on the discretion of the management.
