Are you someone searching for a secluded haven where creativity thrives in the lap of Mother Nature? No other place beats Andretta artist village. Situated in the beautiful Kangra Valley, near Palampur and Bir, this hidden treasure is a refuge for artists and nature lovers alike. Whether you’re an artist or simply someone who wants to relax in silence, there’s something special about Andretta.

What makes Andretta special?

Andretta is not just any village; it is a hotbed of arts and culture. Norah Richards, the famous Irish theatre personality, founded it in the 1920s as she quickly attracted artists, playwrights and potters here. Called “Grand Old Lady of Indian Theatre” by many people, Richards brought this peaceful location into cultural focus. Currently, her name still lives on with more foreign artists coming to live among us.

Andretta’s beauty lies not only in its artistic past but also in its stunning natural setting. Nestled amidst verdant hillsides, the village offers magnificent sights of Dhauladhar range. The air you breathe is pure, the atmosphere calm while every turn reveals traditional Himachali homes and studios of artists amidst serene surroundings.
