Best time to visit Assagao

Assagao can be visited throughout the year but the ideal time to visit is from November to February, when you can enjoy sightseeing and relax by the beautiful beaches. During these months, temperatures range from 25°C to 35° C. The monsoon season is also a good time to be here as the weather becomes cooler and pleasant. However, avoid visiting during the summer, as the heat and humidity can be quite high.

How to reach Assagao

By Air: The closest airport to Assagao is the Goa Dabolim International Airport, just an hour’s drive away. From the airport you can easily hire a cab to reach Assagao.

By Train: Thivim railway station (17.2 kms) is the nearest train station to Assagao, approximately 40 minutes drive away. You can take private cabs and autos from the railway station to reach Assagao.

By Road: Most of the major cities like Mumbai, Pune or Bangalore, are well-connected to Goa with National Highway 66 (NH66), which offers scenic views along the way. Alternatively, you can take state-run or private buses to Panjim or Mapusa, and from there, a short cab ride will bring you to Assagao.
