How to reach Rishikesh?

By Road:

Rishikesh is a well connected town by road which is why it is very popular with travellers. Delhi is about 240 km from Rishikesh and the journey takes about 6-7 hours by road. You can reach there by driving your own car or using a taxi.

By Train:

The nearest railway station to Rishikesh is Haridwar Junction which lies approximately 25 km away. From there, you can take a bus that leads to Rishikesh and takes about 40-45 minutes. Another option would be taking a direct train ride to Rishikesh Railway Station although there are only a few of such trains available.

By Bus:

Rishikesh can be easily reached by bus service as both government-run buses and private buses operate here connecting it with all major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Haridwar etc. Taking buses from Haridwar and Dehradun to Rishikesh is frequent and takes approximately 1-2 hours. For those travelling on a shoestring budget, taking a bus is a cheaper and more comfortable option.
