How to spend a day in Manali

Next, start for Rohtang Pass, one of Manali's most popular tourist destinations. It is a mountain pass located at 3,978 meters and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.

Things to do in Manali

The Hampta Pass is a high-altitude pass that connects the Kullu Valley with the Lahaul Valley. The trail is no less than a drama with forests, grasslands, and blooming flowers. Another side of it is the arid Lahaul Valley. The trek starts from Manali and takes five days, and the best time is June to October.
Jogini Waterfall is a popular tourist spot near Manali, with a short trek from the nearby village. It is 150 feet high and surrounded by mountains. The area around the waterfall is peaceful and serene, making it an ideal place for nature lovers and those looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Naggar Castle is a historical building built in the 15th century by Raja Sidh Singh of Kullu. It was formerly a rest house and later a heritage hotel. It is made of stone and wood and is an example of traditional Himachali architecture. It offers magnificent views of the surrounding Himalayan ranges and the Beas River.
The Tibetan Monastery in Manali, known as the Gadhan Thekchhokling Gompa, is a beautiful monastery. It was built in the 1960s by Tibetan refugees and is known for its colorful frescoes, thangkas, and a large statue of Lord Buddha. The prayer wheels, prayer flags, and the chanting of the monks create a peaceful atmosphere.
The Great Himalayan National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Himalayan region. The 1,171 square kilometers area is home to over 375 species of flora, fauna, and wildlife, including snow leopard, Himalayan black bear, musk deer, bharal (blue sheep), and Himalayan tahr, and a variety of other bird species.
