How to spend a day in Mcleodganj

Head to the Common Ground Cafe, located on Jogiwara Road for a delicious breakfast. This cafe is famous for their breakfast items like pancakes, omelettes and coffee.

After breakfast, take a 2.5 km trek to the Bhagsunag Waterfall, which is located near the Bhagsunath Temple. Enjoy the scenic view and the refreshing waterfall.

12:00 PM

Visit the Dalai Lama Temple Complex, located in the heart of the town. Explore the temple, museum and the prayer halls. Don’t miss the Tsuglagkhang Complex, which is adjacent to the temple complex.

Things to do in Mcleodganj

Namgyal Monastery is a 16th-century monastery known for its architecture and Tibetan Buddhism teachings. You must attend the Namgyal Monastery’s annual prayer festival, Monlam Prayer Festival, which takes place in February or March each year.
Dal Lake is a small scenic lake nestled amidst the beautiful deodar trees, The lake is surrounded by several temples and shrines, including the famous Lord Shiva temple on its banks. There is also a tiny island in the middle of the lake which is accessible via a small boat and is believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva.
Triund Hill trek starts from Mcleodganj and takes you through lush green forests, rocky terrain, and breathtaking views of the Dhauladhar range. This moderate to easy trek stretches 9km and takes 4-5 hours. Enjoy the surrounding peaks and the Kangra Valley below from the summit point.
